The central image is framed by an ornate border with a deep red ground, enriched with gilded floral and scroll decoration, and finished with a scalloped rim highlighted in gold. The reverse is fully glazed.
History and details
Limoges porcelain has long been associated with finely finished decorative wares. In the late 20th century, makers such as La Reine produced cabinet pieces featuring Rococo-inspired imagery after artists like Fragonard, primarily for the decorative and gift market rather than functional table use.
